Preventative Tips:

• Always lock your doors.

• Remove any valuables from inside your car (a thin piece of glass only keeps out the honest people).

• Park in well lit, public areas

• If you have an SUV, minivan, or pick up truck, thieves are especially targeting you due to the fact that they know you do not have a lockable compartment such as a trunk to store your belongings. Thieves watch women to see if they get out of one of these kinds of vehicles not carrying a purse. They know it has been hidden inside (no matter how well you think you hid it).

• During the day, thieves target shopping centers, golf courses, gyms, and any other place you may not want to have to bring your purse or laptop with you. At night they target hotels and driveways.
